Wanted to let y’all know I’m Orange Coast Magazine‘s new book critic, so if you’re an Orange County, California, author, if you were born here, taught here, set your book here, or maybe even wrote your book here, let me know about you. (I can’t promise anything re: self-published books, at this point, though.) In short, if your book is somehow relevant to Orange County residents, let me know about it.

I’m taking over for the late Marylin Hudson, who died earlier this week. Marylin was such a significant figure in Orange Co., one of the first who brought literary events to this paved paradise. She was funny, too; when I spoke at her Roundtable West series, she did this funny thing with horoscopes. A very dry wit. I enjoyed her and I know lots of readers, and writers, will miss her.
